EUNR is the network of the European
National Registers for Packaging
Representatives from 16 EU Member States have joined forces under the independent European National Registers network (EUNR) to promote the harmonised application of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) across the European internal market.
The network brings together the nationally competent authorities/organisations of the EU member states that represent the producer register/packaging data. Together, the members develop coordinated approaches for the uniform interpretation of extended producer responsibility and the practical application of the PPWR in order to strengthen cross-border trade in the internal market. In this way, the EUNR network contributes to enhancing transparency, strengthening enforcement and market monitoring, and creating a level playing field for all companies under obligation in Europe. At the same time, it is helping to reduce free-rider behaviour in the internal market.
